Coordinate input

Both longitude representations are shown in the result.

Enter either or both coordinates. Negative latitude is south; negative longitude is west.

range −90° to +90°
range −180° to +180°; west is negative

Validation rules

Minutes and seconds must be less than 60. At 90° latitude, 180° signed longitude or 360° east-positive longitude, minutes and seconds must be zero.

Example: −1.2644600000° = 1° 15′ 52.0560″ W = 358° 44′ 07.9440″ in the 0–360° convention.

Batch processing

Process a CSV or XLSX file locally

The first worksheet is used. Choose the batch conversion direction before processing.

Results include both longitude conventions.

Two-way conversion

Convert between decimal degrees and DMS using either signed/E-W longitude or the east-positive 0–360° convention.

Correct rounding

Seconds are rounded to the selected precision and carried correctly into minutes and degrees when necessary.

No datum dependency

This is an angular-format conversion only. It does not change the datum, reference frame, ellipsoid or physical location.
